Accommodation and other resources

UEMC welcomes visiting scientists and students and currently offer accommodation to 12 people in three houses. Houses are fully furnished with electricity, running water, self-contained bedrooms, cooking facilities, desks, sitting room. A large seminar room (150 m2) can be used by any organisation or individuals at a cost of $30 per day. Beginning in 2010, UEMC will have an hostel made of dining room and dormitory for up to 24 people to host students and participants to training courses.

Fees for visiting researchers are $7 per day (or $210 a month) and $10 per day for visits of up to 3 days only. Fees for 2 people using a double room are 300 $ per month.

Visiting researchers have access to maps and other resources in the office, including a small library. Computer and printing facilities are available on request. A GIS Database is available to any user in the office. Satellite Internet connection is available in the seminar room at a cost of $20 per week or $60 per month per person.
