Monitoring, Research, DataVegetation monitoring This programme consists of 1-ha vegetation plots located in various forest habitats and altitudes, initially in Mwanihana forest inside the National Park. A set of 11 plots has been established in Mwanihana in 2007 by A. Marshall in the context of "Valuing the Arc" project (see "Links"). Since 2009, six plots are monitored on yearly basis by the Tropical Ecology, Assessment and Monitoring (TEAM) programme of Conservation International, which is conducted in Mwanihana forest through the logistic support of UEMC. Two additional plots were established by Dr. Andy Marshall in 2008 especially for this programme. |
