Monitoring, Research, DataHuman disturbance monitoring Human impact on the park's biodiversity is assessed adopting a standard protocol to monitor forest disturbance through transect-based counts of pole and tree stems that have been cut and any other disturbance signs have already been conducted. In addition, UEMC repeated in 2008 a protocol to sample dung-beetles at forest edges as indicator of forest health . This study, which is planned to be repeated periodically, was conducted in collaboration with WWF-Tanzania and the University of Dar es Salaam. |
